In this podcast, we present a recorded message from the fall Our Hearts Are Home conference. It is an incredible message that applies to all of us. Pastor Mark Vroegop teaches about the biblical and historic prayer language of lament. When we encounter suffering, lament offers a way to talk to God about our grief. “Lament is a prayer in pain that leads to trust.”

One out of three Psalms are lament, so it seems that churches should give attention to this form of prayer. However, most don’t. Mark talks about this reality, and inspires us to implement lament into our lives and discover the power of knowing how to “turn, complain, ask, and trust.”
