JOSHUA & NICOLE KINGSBURY

Josh spent many years of his life growing up in Kenya as a missionary kid while Nicole was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. We met at Messiah College (now Messiah University) while working on the campus events crew during summer breaks. We were married in July of 2005, 2 years after we met. We have been working or serving together in one capacity or another ever since then. We have three children, two of which are now in Heaven. Amber was born in 2006. In 2009 we were blessed with Alex, whom we lost to a miscarriage. Micah was then born in 2010. In April of 2021, Amber went to Heaven. We are so grateful for the promise of eternity as we wait to be together with Amber and Alex again.

We are both Area Coordinators for Operation Christmas Child as well as volunteering in other roles within the ministry. We lead and serve alongside a team of volunteers within our county who affirm and support donors as they pack shoebox gifts each year. Our children have grown up serving the Lord by packing shoeboxes themselves and do not know life without red and green boxes stashed everywhere in our house.  We love the Lord and wish to see the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth. Operation Christmas Child gives us the opportunity to have an eternal impact on the lives of so many, both here and abroad.

Outside of ministry, Joshua works as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children while Nicole is committed to the role of stay-at-home mom with our son Micah.
