CAROL BROWN

Carol is a life-long Texan who lives in the DFW Metroplex with her husband of 52 years, Buddy. The couple lost their twenty-two-year-old daughter, Jackie, in a car accident in 1996.

Carol was a GriefShare facilitator for many years and is passionate about reaching other bereaved parents with the hope found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Recently she was privileged to write a chapter of the book, Until Then Stories of Loss and Hope, where she shared about her daughter and about her own grief journey. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and traveling with her husband. Their son Matt, his wife Courtney, and their two daughters Harper and Dixie live in the same town and they get to see them frequently.

Carol is retired, and likes to read, serve in her church, participate in online Bible studies, work out at her local YMCA, and garden. She also has a close-knit extended family including 3 sisters and a brother, along with several nieces, nephews, and their children. She is grateful for God’s many blessings.
